Joey 'Voices' entertains for MHS students
Celebrity impressionist-singer-comedian Joey "Voices" Noone, MHS '90, will bring his many voices and
faces to Malden High School on March, 31, 2012, in a concert to raise funds for MHS student scholarships
and activities and to help needy students.
As a youngster, Joey listened to the entertainers on radio and began singing every song he heard, building
his repertoire through the years and showing off at every and any opportunity - for family, friends, those
waiting in the dentist's office.
His first big audiences were at Malden High when he performed during Junior Varieties, winning as a
sophomore in 1988 as Best Solo Vocalist.
Sponsored by the Malden High School Alumni Association, Joey is coming back to Jenkins Auditorium to
benefit present and future MHS students with his one-man show that features many of the top stars in the
entertainment world. He says his repertoire now nears about 100 celebrities.
A short list includes the voices of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Cher, Rodney Dangerfield,
Al Green, Tom Jones, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Neil Diamond, Joe Crocker, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Presley,
Burl Ives, and Rod Stewart
"I love getting in character," Joey says on his promo, www.youtube.com/joeyvoices. "I have more fun than
the audience has. When I'm on stage and hear my audience laugh, I know that I've achieve the desired effect."
"Being an entertainer isn't just my livelihood, it's who I am," Joey said. "I've been doing it since I was a little kid.
This is what I was born to do."
Joey really started to focus on his art in 2000, and has become one of the top entertainers on the corporate
and convention circuit, taking his one-man show as a comedian, impersonator and singing impressionist
around the country, including Las Vegas.
But he loves coming back to his hometown.
In 2010 he told the Malden Observer: "I love Malden and my fellow Maldonians. They are my base and
spread the word about me faster than anybody else ever could. I'm grateful for this town.
